My Prezi

My Prezi presentation showcases to parents, students, and co-workers tidbits about myself as a new first grade teacher to the building. I included a brief description of who I am, where I graduated from, and also showed pictures of people who are important to me. In my presentation, I included the two areas that I will be teaching: Social Studies and English Language Arts. Each section has a brief description of my teaching philosophy, and also ideas about learning in those areas. All the pictures in my presentation (except for the animation) came from my own files during my field experiences in different schools. I wanted to make sure to keep my posts fun and interesting for both children and adults. Towards the end of the presentation, I included some of my favorite children's books to encourage first graders to read, and instill in them the love of reading and social studies.

I love creating presentations from Prezi. This type of programming brings out the creative part of me. I love that it is very easy to manipulate, and also very appealing to the eyes. I think that using Prezi presentation to children will enhance their learning in a visual way. I will definitely use Prezi over and over again in the future, and I look forward to my next presentation.
